Madi

Madi is a beautiful soul and we are very proud to have her as our foundation bitch. She is super friendly, beautifully gentle, and a bundle of joy! She is a lover of all things "toys" and will always welcome you at the front door with a toy in her mouth — after which she will present herself to you, sitting on her bottom and offering both paws.
She learns quickly and makes us smile every single day. Madi was introduced to Lure Coursing in late 2023 and took to it like a pro — we look forward to many more days out on the course with her and also giving her more experience in Dock Diving which she absolutely loved too. Her greatest celebration, though, is being a Mumma: she welcomed her very first litter on 2 April 2024 to Tommy, and her second on 22 February 2025 to Ari.

Madi is the daughter of Honey, "Askaval Sea Change at Ayaimah", and King, "Aust CH Alubyc King Tide with Askaval". Honey is a beautiful golden girl with the most wonderful temperament, on her way to being titled as an Australian Champion. King is an exceptional stud dog: an Australian Champion, a Best in Group winner, a Brisbane Royal Best in Group winner, and runner-up to Best in Specialty Show. He has been a wonderful contribution to the gene pool, credited with significantly lowering the hip scores of his progeny — Madi included.

From our Madi & Tommy litter, we were thrilled to welcome our "Miss Pink", Amber, into the Makoya family. She is a quirky character who makes us giggle every day with her mannerisms and her deep love of her humans.
Amber is deeply affectionate and endlessly devoted to her people. She loves nothing more than bringing you her “treasure”, her favourite being a leaf, a frond or a piece of bark from the garden! She will then present it to you with great pride! Her loyalty runs deep, and she will love her family with everything she has.
Amber had her first experience at Lure Coursing with Madi and it looks like she’s an absolute natural too. Watch this space!
Daughter of Madi & Tommy
Tommy, Amber's father, is an exceptional stud dog with impressive back lines, and we felt privileged indeed to sire our very first Makoya litter by him. Tommy holds his Australian Champion title, has won RUBIS at the GRCQ Specialty Show, BIS at the GRCQ Open Show, and for two years in a row won BOB at the Brisbane Royal Show with a 3rd in Group.
